NetEase Games has announced that its free-to-play post-apocalyptic survival game, Once Human, will be launching on mobile devices in April 2025. Developed by NetEase's Starry Studio, the game challenges players to survive in a world plagued by eldritch horrors known as Deviants. First released on PC in July 2024, Once Human quickly gained popularity, reaching 35,000 concurrent players and peaking at nearly 48,000 in the last 24 hours, making it the 36th most played game on Steam.

Ahead of its mobile debut, NetEase is offering players the chance to win an iPhone by registering their interest in the game.

Looking to 2025, Once Human will introduce several exciting new features. Custom servers will be added, allowing players to adjust game difficulty and invite friends to explore new worlds together. Early access servers will also be available for players to test upcoming scenarios before they officially launch.

In Q3 2025, Once Human will roll out three new scenarios: "Code: Purification," where players work to stop pollution and restore the world; "Code: Deviation," a mode focused on capturing and battling Deviants for rewards; and "Code: Broken," a PvP mode with random events. The game will eventually support full cross-platform play, with plans for a console release in the future.
