MMOexp: Will be removed entirely in FC 26

According to the report, EA FC 26 will not include crossplay between PC and console platforms, continuing a growing divide between player communities. Instead, crossplay will remain limited to FC 26 Coins users within the same generation of consoles—such as between PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players—excluding PC gamers from that pool.

This setup would mirror the updated system already rumored in prior leaks, and while it may reduce complaints about input differences or performance imbalances, it’s likely to be a blow to players who were hoping for a fully unified online ecosystem.

The split also has potential implications for the game’s esports scene, which will likely remain platform-specific once again. With the new Nintendo Switch 2 also expected to launch this summer, things could become even more complicated if the handheld console is powerful enough to run the full version of EA FC 26 and potentially join the crossplay conversation.

Moments Mode to Be Removed?

Another major claim in the leak is that Moments Mode—a single-player component of Ultimate Team—will be removed entirely in FC 26. Introduced to allow players to replay and recreate famous events in football history, Moments Mode served as a low-stakes alternative to the more competitive aspects of Ultimate Team.

Its removal would mark a significant change in how EA structures the solo content in Ultimate Team. At this point, it's unknown whether EA plans to replace the mode with something new, or simply phase it out without a direct successor.

If true, this could signal a greater focus on multiplayer modes and online competition moving forward—possibly streamlining Ultimate Team for cheap EA FC 26 Coins players more focused on PvP formats and weekend leagues.
